Blue tongue skink breeding

More about
our Breeding
Our passion for terraristics began in 2002 when we started breeding insects, specifically praying mantises and stick insects. Over the years, we participated in countless fairs in Hamm, Prague, and Houten, where we conducted breeding projects for various species, including geckos, chameleons, and Microcebus. However, we eventually encountered a species that captured our full dedication – Tiliqua scincoides. Today, we devote all our attention, knowledge, and experience to supporting the development of breeding this extraordinary species.
Projects
-
Classic
We love blue-tongued skinks for their diversity. Classic color patterns cover a wide color range — from black, through shades of brown, red, orange, beige, to light pastel colors. We aim to selectively breed certain individuals, searching for and highlighting the unique traits of specific lines.
-
High Orange
Orange Line, Swedish Line, and Sunset/Sunrise are selections focused on the most orange-colored individuals. In 2021, we imported the best specimens we could find from American breeders. Based on these, as well as a few individuals from European lines, we are building one of the most fascinating lines in selective breeding. This line brings us the most satisfaction. Simply put, a big orange creature is amazing.
-
Magma
Magma is a unique line from America. Selection towards the red color is different from that of the orange lines. Often, individuals are intensely red when young but unfortunately fade to brownish shades as they age. Other bloodlines gradually acquire more vivid red hues, and as adults, with each molt, they surprise with their color intensity. It is a very interesting project, with still much to be done.
-
White Nordern
White Northern was our breeding dream. Pure white individuals stand out among all others. In 2022, just before the CITES 3, we managed to import this line from a major breeder in China. The juveniles we received represent an exceptionally strong bloodline, which grows and develops remarkably quickly. Our specimens are also het for Anery, meaning there is great potential for Alabaster. In 2024, our breeding produced 4 white and 4 100% het.
-
Albino
Blue Tongue, which transforms into Pink Tongue, is a rare and challenging morph to breed. This is the most important project in our breeding program. We plan to combine lines from America to create Sunset/Sunrise albino. It will be a long process, but we hope to succeed in a few years. Hets for hyper can further enhance the color, not to mention Lava.
-
Hyper
Hyper, as Joe Ball puts it, is the most sought-after morph in breeding. So far, we have only one female from Bion in Ukraine, but we are looking for new bloodlines, especially hets.
